Dubai

From the airport to Dubai centre

Every way into Dubai from the airport, with the price, the journey time and the first and last departure, so a late landing holds no surprises.

Checked: 21 October 2026. Prices and hours can change; check the official site before you go.

⚡ In short

Most visitors fly into Dubai International (DXB): take the Metro Red Line from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 straight to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall. Terminal 2 has no station. The metro does not run all night, so a taxi from the arrivals rank (24/7) is the choice late or with heavy bags.

✈️ Dubai International Airport (DXB)

Terminals 1 and 3 each have a Red Line station, and trains run to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall without a change. Terminal 2 has no station. A taxi is the easy choice with heavy bags or late at night.

🚕 Taxi and ride apps

  • 📍 Where: Dubai Taxi (DTC) cabs wait 24/7 at marked ranks in the arrivals area of each terminal. No booking needed.

🌙 Landing late at night

The metro stops at midnight (Friday 01:00) and starts at 05:00 (Sunday 08:00). In between take a taxi from the ranks (24/7) or a ride app.

🛫 Going back to the airport

To the airport: Red Line to Airport Terminal 1 or Airport Terminal 3 (check which terminal your airline uses; Terminal 2 has no station and needs a bus or taxi). The first train leaves at 05:00 (Sunday 08:00), so a very early flight needs a taxi.

✈️ Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC)

DWC is far from the centre and has no metro. The official route is an RTA bus to a metro station, then the Red Line; a taxi is faster but costs more.
