Street parking

Street parking in Dubai is run by Parkin and paid by app, meter or text. Most zones are paid Monday to Saturday 08:00โ€“22:00 and free on Sundays and public holidays. The standard on-street rate in the Deira and Bur Dubai zones read is AED 4.20 an hour; smart-parking zones further out cost AED 2.10 an hour. In the premium zones (Downtown, Business Bay, Deira, Jumeirah and other busy areas) parking costs AED 6 for the first hour at peak times (08:00โ€“10:00 and 16:00โ€“20:00); it is free overnight (22:00โ€“08:00) and on Sundays and public holidays. Multi-storey car parks (Al Ghubiba, Naif and others) charge AED 5 an hour.

Tips

Sunday parking is free, evenings too

Parkin on-street zones are free on Sundays and public holidays and after 22:00. Peak hours in premium zones are 08:00โ€“10:00 and 16:00โ€“20:00, so a mid-morning or late-evening stop is cheaper.

Tolls add up on a round trip

Each Salik gate costs AED 4 or AED 6 depending on the hour, and driving between Downtown, Jumeirah and Dubai Marina can cross several gates. Between 01:00 and 06:00 it is free.

The metro often beats the car

Between the areas this planner uses, the metro and tram avoid tolls and parking fees; Dubai Mall parking charges from the fifth hour on weekdays. The Dubai Frame is a short walk from the Al Jafiliya metro station.

Zone signs and the app decide the rate

The rate depends on the zone code on the sign. Check it in the Parkin app before you leave the car.
